The second regional meeting of the Society for Children and Adolescent Psychiatry

The second regional meeting of the Society for Children and Adolescent Psychiatry was held in Ljubljana on October 12 and 13, 2018. Apart from DEAPS representatives, the meeting was attended by representatives of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and hosts from Slovenia.

During the workshop, the hosts introduced us with the organization of child and adolescent psychiatry in Slovenia and enabled us to visit the Department of Adolescent Psychiatry within the University Psychiatric Clinic in Ljubljana. We have also made plans for future joint activities.

The next regional meeting will be held in Zagreb on October 18-19, 2019.

It was agreed that at the ESCAP Congress in Vienna we organize a symposium where our practical experience with antipsychotic drugs will be presented by representatives of our countries.

Also, one of the proposed ideas, with which we agreed, was to provide residents the opportunity to carry out some of their specialization in one of our countries.

The present colleagues expressed their interest and readiness to participate in the work of the 5th Congress of the DEAPS.

Two years ago, the 4th Congress of The Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions of Serbia (DEAPS) was held, where you had the opportunity to exchange experiences, knowledge, skills and solutions to the challenges that we encounter in clinical practice, and to hear and share the latest scientific achievements.

We are very pleased to inform you that the 5th Congress of DEAPS will be held on Zlatibor in the ’’Čigota’’ Institute from 23rd to 26th of May 2019.

Please share this information with your colleagues and associations for now, in order to schedule your activities in accordance with your prior obligations.
